WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit begins with a belief in fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare trainees for any physical contingency – not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable. After looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally lend themselves to performance advantage. Capacity culled from the intersection of all sports demands would quite logically lend itself well to all sport. In sum, our speciality is not specializing.

MEET OUR TRAINERS

Ivy Nicholson

Ivy has owned and operated CFNP since she closed the doors of Ivy Street Gym and opened the now CFNP in  2013.  She wanted to create an environment where a person was excited and looked forward to coming to not only change their lives in a physical way, but also in mental way.  A place you come to make permanent, positive changes in your life.  The people of CFNP not only come to get better, but also to help better others.

Shane Nicholson

Shane joined in the journey of CFNP and is co-owner.  He has served in US Army as a pilot for the last 18 years which has made the military family near and dear to his heart.  His goal for CFNP was to create a box that his fellow service members and their families could afford to come as a family to create healthy role models for their children and an environment of safety, strength and extended family.

Jayme Greene

Jayme has developed into a wonderful representative of CFNP.  She has great coaching techniques and is continually working of furthering her education of CF and Weight Training.  Her interest has led her and her clients to earn countless PR’s.

Keith Rowan

Hi. I’m Keith, and I do Crossfit. I’ve been on it since 2013. Since then I’ve had to buy all new shirts, pants, shorts, shoes, jump ropes, lifters, knee sleeves, wristwraps, and headbands. In December 2014, I received my CFL-1 trainer and since have been helping others with their crossfitting (and gear selection). I am inspired by everyone that walks into our gym, making time to better themselves and our community.

Duke Perlinger

Duke is an Army Veteran of 13 years who started Crossfit in July 2014.  In December 2014, Duke finished his studies to become a Certified Personal Trainer.  Upon completion of Crossfit Level 1 course in October 2015, Duke began coaching classes at our gym.  He is currently continuing his education with Arizona State University in various health, wellness and nutritional courses.  Duke enjoys coaching and competing and has become a great asset to our Crossfit North Pole family and our community.  You’ll find him mainly in the evening classes!!
